Every new student’s class schedule includes an anchor course within their school or college. This course might be called a first-year forum, “Introduction to…,” “Foundations of…” or something in between. At the core, these courses help set a foundation for your academic career and introduce you to your school or college. Your grade for this course will also include completion of an assignment related to, and participation in, your shared reading discussion sessions. This five-week discussion series will be listed on your course schedule as SEM 100.

Your anchor course faculty will not only help equip you with tools to become scholars, researchers and global citizens, but they will also provide resources and information about diverse and robust events and activities across campus. They will be a great resource!
