Being a commuter is a unique circumstance, because not only are you focused on college studies, but you may also have a job and family responsibilities away from the Syracuse University campus. In fact, there probably are not enough hours in a day for you to accomplish everything you need to. As a commuter student, you will have a somewhat different experience than your residential classmates. We want to be sure you have the same opportunities to get involved and build relationships. The Office of Orientation and Off-Campus Programs (OOCP), located at 754 Ostrom Avenue, is dedicated to helping you, the commuter student, with any challenge you may encounter while you're here. We want to make your college experience the best it can be, so contact our friendly and knowledgeable staff any time you have a question or concern. We will be happy to assist you.
The Office of Orientation and Off-Campus Programs (OOCP) offers helpful information and services, like resource referrals and support in the off-campus housing experience. It educates off-campus students on their rights and responsibilities, both as tenants and as community members. OOCP's goal is to make a positive impact on off-campus living, which includes helping off-campus students connect to the University in as many ways as possible. From security deposits and leases to roommate issues and off-campus safety, OOCP can offer the assistance you need.
