The Department of Recreation Services coordinates a variety of recreational programs, activities and facilities at SU. From aerobics to whitewater rafting trips, Recreation Services has something for every interest and ability level. Facilities

Facility Access

Students, faculty, and staff with a currently valid SU I.D. are eligible to use the Indoor and Outdoor Recreation Facilities amd Fitness Centers. Always bring your I.D. to get into all facilities.

Tennity Ice Pavillion

SU's Tennity Ice Pavillion skating facility features two sheets of ice, a regulation sized sheet and a smaller studio sheet. One of the two sheets is always available for open skating whenever the building is open for business.

Outdoor Education

The Outdoor Education Program at Syracuse University provides outdoor recreation opportunities, services and educational experiences for the University community during the academic year. The program offers:

1. Outdoor trips where participants enjoy nature and expand outdoor skills, while promoting minimal impact practices.

2. Lessons, in which participants will expand specific outdoor skills.

Intramural Sports

Intramural sports are for the "weekend warrior" as well as the skilled athlete. SU's intramural program offer a variety of organized competitive activities is available to all SU and ESF students, faculty, and staff. Learn more about how you can take part in intramural sports!

Club Sports

A club sport is a campus group that provides recreation, competition, and/or instruction in sport-related activities. Club Sports are an integral part of Recreation Services, designed to supplement intercollegiate, intramural and student/faculty recreation programs, as well as physical education classes. There are more than 45 club sports, all run primarily on student initiative and leadership.

Late Night at the Gym

In addition to the usual recreational opportunities you find at the gym, we have a wide range of innovative and fun activities lined up for you. Keeping in mind the diverse student population at SU, we have specially picked some popular international sports for you to try out. Late Night at the Gym is also a great opportunity for you to interact with people who have similar recreational interests.

Recreation at Drumlins
