International Student Orientation

New international students at Syracuse University must complete mandatory International Student Orientation requirements in addition to attending Winter Welcome, the university-wide new student orientation. All new undergraduate international students are required to arrive on campus no later than Friday, January 11. 

Planning Your Arrival - Thursday, January 10, 2019

New international students can move into their residence halls on Thursday, January 10. Students must arrive by January 11 to participate in mandatory international student orientation, which includes a required English language assessment exam.
 
Your residence hall room keys will be available for pick-up as follows:

8:30a.m. - 5p.m. - Slutzker Center for International Services, 310 Walnut Place
After 5p.m. - Your residence hall main desk
 
Friday, January 11, 2019
8:30a.m. - 12 p.m. - Slutzker Center for International Services, 310 Walnut Place
After 12 p.m. - Your residence hall main desk
 
International students are welcome to stay at the Sheraton Syracuse University Hotel prior to moving into their residence halls for a special rate.  Visit the New International Undergraduate Students website for more information about temporary housing.
 
Syracuse University is offering free airport transportation for new international students on January 9 and 10. Please complete this online form to register for the free service.

International Student Orientation - Friday, January 11, 2019

You must arrive no later than January 11.  To register for orientation, complete the Orientation Registration Form. You will receive a complete orientation schedule when you arrive on campus.
