Getting Around

Centro

Central New York is also served by Centro (http://www.centro.org/) bus lines. Many Centro buses travel through the Syracuse University on a regular basis and travel to destinations such as the the Regional Transportation Center, Carousel Center shopping mall, Shoppingtown mall, and other locations frequented by SU students--including downtown Syracuse (a transfer point). Centro also runs campus bus routes (http://parking.syr.edu/Parking/display.cfm?content_ID=%23%29%297%2F%0A) and shuttle services for athletic and special events at the Carrier Dome.

The 14 campus bus routes —Winding Ridge, Slocum Heights, South Campus, Manley, North Campus, Sadler/Brewster-Boland, East Route, Vincent/Nob Hill, Drumlins, Euclid-Westcott, Warehouse, Quad Shuttle, Connective Corridor, and Carousel Express—operate on a set of schedules available at the following locations: Bird
Library, Schine Student Center, Office of Orientation and Off-Campus Programs,
Department of Public Safety, Goldstein Student Center, and the Parking and Transit Services office.

Buses are in full operation during the fall and spring semesters. When classes are not in session, bus frequencies are reduced. During periods of severe weather, Centro buses may be forced to use alternative routes to ensure the safety of their customers. If you are unsure whether or not you are on a snow route, call Centro information (315-442-3400) for specific snow route information.

For additional information about public transportation, contact Centro at 315-442-
3400 or go to www.centro.org.
