Fortunately you have a variety of choices when it comes to managing your health and well-being. Syracuse University is committed to helping you keep a healthy body and a healthy mind.

Health Services

Syracuse University Health Services is located at 111 Waverly Avenue, specializes in college health and serves the needs of SU and ESF students. Services include the following:

  • Office visits
  • Ambulatory care services
  • Pharmacy
  • Syracuse University Ambulance (SUA)
  • SU Medical Transport Services (MTS)
  • Laboratory and X-ray services
  • Allergy injections
  • Nutrition counseling
  • Health education and well-being promotion
  • Public health monitoring and oversight
  • Immunizations, vaccines, and travel medicine

Counseling Center

The Counseling Center can help you with problem solving, stress management, and other coping strategies you may need while you're at SU. Its staff is composed of experienced and licensed mental health professionals, including psychologists, social workers, and a consulting psychiatrist. The center is committed to enhancing the academic mission of the University through counseling, prevention, education, and outreach activities. It is sensitive to diversity in all of its forms, including race, gender, religion, ethnic background, and sexual orientation. The Counseling Center offers members of the SU community free, confidential help through times of crisis and the everyday stressed of life.

Options

The Options Program is a free, confidential service for
early intervention, education, and referrals for students
who experience problems related to alcohol or other drug
use. Options uses a harm reduction approach in providing
assessment, brief intervention, referral, and support
groups. Students may self-refer or be mandated to Options
through the University judicial process. Individual meeting
appointments and regular psycho-educational groups
are facilitated by certified professional staff and trained
graduate students.

R.A.P.E. Center

The Syracuse University R.A.P.E. Center provides 24-
hour crisis response and support and assistance to
students who have been impacted by sexual violence. R.A.P.E. Center advocates inform students of medical and legal options and assist students in accessing health care, counseling services, academic assistance, the Office of Judicial Affairs, law enforcement agencies, and other resources. R.A.P.E. Center services are free and confidential.
