Welcome to the Office of First-Year and Transfer Programs!
Transfer Mentor Program
In an effort to assist transfer students in their acclimation to Syracuse University, the and the Office of Residence Life have created the Transfer Student Mentor Program. This program matches successful transfer students with incoming transfer students to help new students adjust to campus life. Mentors provide support for their students regarding classes, campus resources, and personal concerns. We hope that this program will increase the overall academic achievement and satisfaction of transfer students at Syracuse University by easing the adjustment for new transfer students and by creating a leadership opportunity for returning transfer students.
We would like to offer all current Syracuse University transfer students the opportunity to apply to be a Transfer Student Mentor to our new transfer students this spring 2010. By becoming a Transfer Student Mentor you will have the opportunity to:
* Help facilitate events for new transfer students.
* Help transfer students learn about SU's history and traditions.
* Help transfer students connect to University and community resources.
* Participate in an exciting new student leadership position.
If you are interested in applying, please fill out the
Application form.
