Volunteer for Syracuse Welcome 2008

Syracuse Welcome 2008, Syracuse University's new student orientation program, offers many events that have been designed to assist new students in their transition to Syracuse University. These events prepare students for classes, get them settled into their residence hall space, introduce them to campus services and support, familiarize them with University traditions, and enable them to meet fellow classmates.

Volunteers are needed to greet new students and their families during move-in; decorate the campus to make it full of orange spirit with balloons and signs; and assist with a variety of event logistics. Over 3,000 students are again expected to arrive in August and your volunteer efforts will ensure they begin their collegiate experience feeling welcomed into the Syracuse University community. We welcome all Syracuse University faculty, staff, alumni, and friends to volunteer, so please feel free to spread the word! Volunteers must be registered by June 15.

If you have questions about the volunteer sign-up process, please contact the Office of Orientation and Off-Campus Programs at 315-443-1012 or via email at newtosu@syr.edu.
